Meet Senior Reviewer:

Hi, mystery lovers! I'm a stereotypical life-long readaholic who'll read anything: cereal boxes, detergent labels, etc., and books, of course, lots and lots of books. My interest in mysteries is of long-standing dating from the day my third-grade class took a field trip to the local public library. My brand new library card was inaugurated when I checked out The Feud Mystery. I was so intrigued that for several days I woke up early just so I could read another chapter before school. (One advantage of growing up is that now I can read past my bedtime!)

I particularly enjoy legal thrillers, historical mysteries, and suspense. My favorite authors include Lindsey Davis, Dick Francis, Anne Perry, Scott Turow, Clive Cussler, and Jonathan Kellerman. Besides mysteries, I read general fiction, romances, and occasionally non-fiction. In non-mysteries, my favorites include Diana Gabaldon, Wilbur Smith, Judith Merkle Riley, Roberta Gellis, and Sandra Brown.

I was born and raised in the Midwest but have lived more recently in northern Delaware (that's about thirty miles south of Philadelphia if you wondered 'Dela-WHERE?'). My husband of more than thirty years and I have two sons and a daughter. I am a librarian (no surprise considering my predilections) and have recently received my J.D. after attending law school in the evenings. (As a consequence, I find authors' mistakes in legal research or procedure most irritating.) Naturally my children were raised with books and reading (I started reading to them when they were only a few days old), and they're also great readers and library users. (When he was eight, my youngest asked how other families made it without their own librarian.) My daughter is particularly fond of mysteries, and we often exchange books and recommendations.

I look forward to hearing from you. To email Lesley,
