Adele Looks Forward to Super Night at the Grammys

The Grammy Awards reflect the biggest night of all for the music industry — and the night just got even bigger. Adele has been announced as one of the performers who will sing at the L.A. Staples Center on February 12th. She will, of course, be singing songs from her mega-platinum album 25.

The sheer volume of big name stars and singers performing at the Grammys is pretty impressive. Some major names are going to strut their talents on stage. The names include Carrie Underwood, Metallica, John Legend, and more.

Adele is no newcomer to the Grammys. She previous won 10 awards and, this year, she is nominated in five categories including Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Impressive.

Adele is not just slated for a really big night at the Grammys. She is on her way to having a third straight monstrously successful year. 25 was the biggest hit album of 2015 and 2016. Sales are continuing strong into 2017. The huge sale numbers for 2015 are wildly impressive considering the album was released at the end of the year. Overall, record sales are way down in the music industry, a dubious fact that makes Adele’s success even more incredible.

Adele probably is looking forward to a much smoother and trouble free evening. Last year, the singer had to suffer through a host of technical difficulties while performing “All I Ask”. Nothing is more annoying to a performer than technical difficulties. Suffering technical difficulties in front of a TV audience of millions of people, well, that is not exactly a joy.

Adele would later quip to Ellen DeGeneres that she cried uncontrollably in the aftermath of the incident. Complicated live shows come with potential hassles — a fact Adele learned the hard way.

Hopefully, this year will be one of nothing but positive outcomes for the superstar.
