George Clooney was once quoted as saying he never wanted kids. Now, at 56, he’s a father of twins.
The couple made a statement on CNN yesterday. “”This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine,” they jokingly added, “George is sedated and should recover in a few days.” It’s good to see that Clooney will never lose that cheeky sense of humor.
“My favorite part is, you know, all my friends who are my age, and I have many of them, they’re already done. Their kids are all grown up and away to college and they are laughing,” Clooney recently said on the French TV show “Recontres de Cinema”
“We went out to dinner the other night, and it’s a table of eight guys and all their kids are away in college, and we are sitting there and they were all being very supportive, ‘Everything is going to be great, you’re going to love it,'” Clooney recalled. “Then it got really quiet, and they all just started making baby crying (noises) and the whole table just busted up laughing.”
George’s dad, Nick, in a phone interview with FOX19 NOW, shared that his wife, Nina thought the babies have George’s nose.
“Nina swears they have George’s nose,” the 83-year-old shared, adding they both have dark hair. “I don’t know what that means.” Nick also mentioned that George looked unlike himself.
“George, well, his eyes were glazed so I’m not sure that he was sober,” Nick joked. “We’ll figure that out.”
Despite all the humorous comments, George seems really excited about this new role in life.
“We are really happy and really excited. It’s going to be an adventure,” he said. “We’ve sort of embraced it all with arms wide open.”
