Avril Lavigne Makes a Comeback after Her Battle with Lyme Disease

Avril Lavigne has officially announced her comeback to the showbiz industry since she was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2014. The controversial hit maker revealed that she is currently finalizing her sixth studio album which is scheduled to be released in 2017. The 32 year old singer is optimistic that the album will be a hit after being out of the industry for a long time. She affirms that the album will be a full length release since her last album which she dropped in 2013 before she was diagnosed with the disease.

To express confidence and trust to her more than 4.3 Million fans and followers, Avril updated her fans on her condition and expressed confidence that she was finally winning the battle against Lyme disease. In her caption she thanked all her fans for the support they extended to her throughout her struggle with her condition and laments that she has been slowly adjusting to life with the condition. “I thank all my fans for the patience and support when I was away for two years battling with Lyme disease. It hasn’t just been hard but also enlightening and will reflect in my new music, artistry and personality” Avril posted this emotional message on social media besides her colorful photo sitting in front of a piano.

Lavigne has made it her top priority to be an ambassador and create awareness about Lyme disease. She has made a vow to use her music and her influence in the showbiz industry to fight the disease and make people aware of the dangers of Lyme disease through The Avril Lavigne Foundation. “I am happy to declare that I am now working on a new album which I will be releasing in 2017. I can’t wait to open up and share my heart with you! I am thrilled for you to hear my new songs. It is going to be an amazing 2017” The Here’s to never growing up singer wrote to officially denounce her comeback.

Avril’s next album is projected to be a follow up to her self -titled album that she released in 2013. Her previous release featured some songs which were co-written by her former husband Chad Kroeger whom they separated in 2015 after two years of marriage. The new album is a special new year’s gift for Avril after being bedridden for five months. “I couldn’t talk or move and at some point felt like I could not breathe” She said. “I thought I was dying”. Lavigne no doubt deserves an amazing 2017 after the ordeal that befell her.
