Celebrity Pilots

If you’ve been bitten by the flying bug and want to take to the skies, you’ve got some work to put in.  Yes, even the rich and famous aren’t exempt.  To obtain a private pilot’s license, you must spend a minimum of 40 hours in a plane, (20 of which have to be with an instructor, and 5 hours of solo cross country time.) You also need to complete 10 night landings and 3 airport landings.  This is all in addition to a written exam and an aviation medical certificate.   Read on to see which celebrities have passed these tests.

CLINT EASTWOOD

The Sully director is an avid pilot himself, having held his license for over 30 years.
