Costco: where you can get all the groceries on your list, and heck, throw in a wedding too. That’s what Sue Berkeley and Eli Bob from Sydney, Australia did when they hosted their wedding and the Costco in Casula in front of 90 of their closest friends and family.
Granted, it’s not a tropical island, but the couple’s choice to have the wedding there happened naturally because they spend so much time there.
“I get to spend another day at Costco, that I love,” Berkeley told A Current Affair. “Where else can I get married to the one I love, in a place that I love, surrounded by the people I love.”
Berkeley walked down the bulk food aisles to the food court, where the vows were being exchanged.
The best part, however, was how affordable the whole affair was. It cost the couple under A$10 a head to feed everyone Costco food court regulars like hot dogs, pizza, and pies. And don’t forget the unlimited soda refills.
Surprisingly, the couple wasn’t the first to get married in a Costco, but they are the first in Australia.
If you’re looking to have your wedding in a Costco too, it might not be so easy, as the invitation to have your wedding there is extended to “special guests” only.
