Like many long-time readers, I still remember hiding a flashlight under the covers because I had to finish that book!
I've been around books forever -- -- for years I have worked at a busy bookstore
in Denver, Colorado. Now I work in a brand new public library. So if I'm not at home reading or glued to my computer,
I'm probably at work - checking out the latest best sellers.
My family keeps me busy, too. My husband is an attorney for the federal
government and we have four children (three boys and a girl).
My kids have a wide variety of interests from music to athletics -- ranging
from playing bass guitar in a Ska band (that makes money -- sometimes!), to Ivy League All American fencers in foil and
epee, to playing golf on the high school golf team. My daughter is a student at Yale
University, so our phone bills are huge! (Thank goodness for e-mail!)
I like many types of mysteries, but, in particular, thrillers, suspense and
legal mysteries. I even like serial killers! Some of my favorites are
Jeffery Deaver, Michael Connolly, John Sandford, Patricia Cornwell (only the Kay Scarpetta books), J. A. Jance, Edna Buchanan,
Ridley Pearson, Mary Willis Walker and James Patterson. And John Katzenbach moved into this group with his upcoming book,
HART'S WAR.
When I'm not reading, my other passion is my favorite baseball team:
and Denver has a pretty good football team, too.
