Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister in HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones, is ready to welcome a second child into the world. Dinklage and his wife Erica Schmidt were attending a new play just recently, where Schmidt’s unmistakable baby bump stole the show. The off-Broadway play is a production that was written and directed by Schmidt, so it seems like the short statured Peter isn’t the only creative talent in the family.
Their expected child will make them a happy family of four, and Zelig Dinklage, their five year old daughter, will likely be excited to be joined by a new sibling. Thankfully, their family won’t be full of the deception, resent, and patricide that plagued House Lannister in HBO’s Game of Thrones.
Many of the cast and production crew joined in on some impromptu celebrations on the red carpet, posing for photos with Dinklage and Schmidt. While Schmidt hasn’t had as much success in acting as her husband, her newfound success in stage production will help to boost the star profile of the family. Who knows, maybe their children will also have successful careers in showbiz, but there will still be a number of years to see how things pan out.
Schmidt’s show, All the Fine Boys, has already received positive reviews from both audiences and critics, and is being performed at the Pershing Square Signature Center at 480 West 42nd Street in New York City. If you want to see the show, you’ll need to book tickets soon, because the final performance will be held on March 26th, 2017.
If you’re a fan of Dinklage and Game of Thrones, then you’ll need to wait until later this year before there’s even a teaser of the new series. Dinklage will reprise his starring role, and there’s sure to be plenty of new revelations in the series, especially considering we are now well past the point of material taken from the George R. R. Martin series of novels.
Congratulations to Peter Dinklage and Erica Schmidt for their growing family!
