After a trying bout of postpartum depression in 2016, Hayden Panettiere, a star on television’s hit show “Nashville,” is starting off the 2017 new year with a positive and healthy attitude. During a segment of Good Morning America, she talked about how she suffered with postpartum depression after the delivery of her daughter, Kaya. She told the morning show hosts that it took her a while to confirm that something was not right. She didn’t feel like her regular self.
Luckily, she had the love and support of her loving fiancé, Vladimir Klitschko, to help her through this difficult time in her life. She checked into rehab and was treated for her postpartum depression. She is glad that she underwent the treatment, and she is thankful that she can now bond with her daughter Kaya.
Per Hayden, “I’m feeling great.” She is glad to be filming Nashville, and she is glad that she is playing the character Juliette, who suffers from postpartum depression on the show. Hayden feels as if playing this particular role has made her a stronger person.
Per Hayden, “It absolutely helped me. I think it helped me identify what was going on. And to let women know that it’s okay to ask for help, and it’s OK to have a moment of weakness. It doesn’t make you a bad person, and it doesn’t make you a bad mother. It makes you a very strong, resilient woman. You’ve just got to let it make you stronger.
