Jennifer Aniston Desires to Return to the World of Television

Jennifer Aniston wants to return to small screen television. This is where she feels the most comfortable.

No, this doesn’t mean that she wants to plan a Friends reunion. She wants to be the star of a new television series. During an interview with Variety, she expressed that television has the most and best work available. The 47-year old actress says she is at a point in her life where she wants to act in great storylines and play wonderful characters. Most importantly, she wants to have fun doing it.

Jennifer’s most recent television appearance was back in 2010. She appeared in an episode of Cougar Town with another Friends alum, Courteney Cox. Jennifer says that it was fun to see and do different things back in her 20’s. She loved going all over the world and experiencing new things.

Now, she just wants to relax and stay closer to home because time is precious. As a result, she doesn’t want to waste time on bad experiences such as dealing with screaming directors.

Jennifer is also open to making television series for streaming platforms. She thinks that platforms such as Netflix and Amazon have great shows. She believes that these platforms are just as good as traditional media.

Companies such as Netflix and Amazon weren’t given much respect in the beginning. But Jennifer thinks that it’s wonderful that people can watch movies from the privacy of their own television screens.

She says that going to the movies is fun, but if you can see the same thing at home, why not? As a matter of fact, she and her husband, Justin Theroux, a star in the HBO series “The Leftovers” love to binge watch Netflix’s “The Crown.”

Jennifer says that she wants to work in television behind the scenes as a producer. “There’s something very exciting about being part of a project from the seed of it, and putting it together.” Jennifer wants to work in television on two different levels. She wants to be a star, but she also wants to work as a producer, which are excellent goals.
