New York transplant Dr. Maggie is making the transition from psychologist to the rich and sometimes famous to Cypress Grove (Florida) pop-psychologist radio talk-show host. She is quickly learning that radio is all about ratings.

It’s sometimes hard for Dr. Maggie and producer Vera Mae to get guests for the two-hour show as the station doesn’t offer any honorarium for being on the air. Maggie is doubtful about her current guest, self-styled medium Madame Chantel, who has a new book and is more than willing to make weekly appearances on the show to keep her name on the tongues of everyone in Cypress Grove.

WYME is also involved in the opening of a time capsule buried by the courthouse which is about to be torn down. With things hopping down at the station, Maggie is spending less time with her mother, B-movie has been Lola, who still has hopes of landing her big role, or any role at this point. At a séance that Maggie and her friends and mother attend, Chantel predicts doom and gloom for the town and the next morning local historian Althea Somerset is found dead.

As more about the time capsule comes to light and another keeper of the town history is found dead, Maggie suspects someone trying to keep something from the past buried. She must work quickly before the town’s history, and its prominent citizens, find themselves buried for good.

A breezy mystery with just a touch of woo-woo, Stay Tuned for Murder has a cast of charming ladies at its forefront and hunky detective Rafe watching out for all of them, especially Maggie.  Curious by nature, but not a trained media reporter, Maggie has the right traits and is learning the skills to be a good amateur investigator.  She is settling into her new hometown, learning about its history and all the local culture and characters, not missing her fast-paced, expensive life in Manhattan.

Her mother Lola adds another to dimension to Maggie’s character, a woman who is having difficulty facing aging gracefully (though she has stayed beautiful while doing it).  There are enough clues that some readers may figure out the mystery while others will be following the several red herrings strewn throughout the story.  This is a fun mix of media and psychology with a touch of Hollywood gossip, surrounded by the tropical breezes of sunny Florida.
