Have you ever wanted to see yourself in print? Time is running out for your entry to a Character Contest offered by Leslie Glass, author of the best-selling “Time” series of psychological suspense novels starring NYPD Detective April Woo and psychoanalyst Dr. Jason Frank.

Glass invites you to become a character in an upcoming novel by entering a contest accessible through her web site, www.leslieglass.net. The contest ends December 31, 1999. Participants are also eligible to win an autographed copy of Stealing Time in a weekly drawing. There is no limit to the number of entries, and entries are free of charge.

Participants must create a character sketch of themselves through answering a few simple questions – for example, “If you carried a lethal weapon (legal or illegal), what would it be?” If you win, you could be a victim, perpetrator, suspect, or law enforcer in an upcoming Glass novel set in New York City!

Glass's next novel about kids who kill, Tracking Time, will be published in hardcover by Dutton in 2000. Glass's novels feature April Woo, the first female Asian-American law enforcement officer in American crime fiction.

Malice Domestic III Scheduled for May, 2000

Malice Domestic XII -- an annual conference celebrating the cozy -- will be held May 5 - 7, 2000 at the Renaissance Hotel, Washington, DC. Guest of Honor Simon Brett and Toastmaster Eileen Dreyer head the list of noted authors and experts featured in panels, sessions, and special programming. Our Fan Guest of Honor is Sheila Martin and our Ghost of Honor is Arthur Conan Doyle.

The Agatha Awards--named for Agatha Christie--are presented for Best Novel, First Novel, Non-Fiction, and Short Story in the genre for the previous year. Register by January 1, 2000 to receive nomination ballots. Deadline: March 31, 2000.
