No Wedding Bells for Ashley Greene in 2017

The soon-to-be bride Ashley Greene beams as she walked the red carpet of the 2017 People’s Choice Awards in L.A. on Wednesday night.

The 29-year old Twilight Actress dazzled in a sequined dress specially made by Jeffrey Dodd for her to wear at the said event. The excited Green couldn’t hide her thrill to be at the event, her first public appearance since announcing the fantastic news in December that she has been engaged to longtime beau, Australian TV personality Paul Khoury. Green told E! News’ Zuri Hall it is fun to be at the award show where people got to vote.

Green was there to present the Favorite Action Movie Actor award, which was won by Robert Downey, Jr. Before she could head inside the Microsoft Theater, Zuri Hall asked her about the sparkling diamond engagement ring. The actress said they knew they were going to get married, and has discussed the type of ring she likes and what she hates. Greene reveals that Paul made sure to put together the diamond and the band to create a ring that she would like. She said, “He’s very artistic and really romantic, so he actually flew in the diamond, then made the band, and then had someone else put it together. A lot of time and thought [went into it].”

Although the couple has gotten engaged, a wedding is not to be expected anytime this year. The beaming bride-to-be may not have an exact date in mind just yet, but in the meantime, she wants to enjoy the engagement. Green knows it would just get stressful if they plan to have a wedding before the end of 2017. The actress is sure there will be swapping of vows in the future, and they will enjoy being married. The couple, however, will not be rushing down the aisle just yet since they are intent on focusing on their careers first and on starting to build their lives together.

It is going to be a busy year ahead for Green, indeed. Apart from her upcoming movies, Accident Man and Antiquities, the actress is set to appear in the DirecTV series Rogue.
