Scheana Marie Shay Finally Breaks Her Silence on Split With Husband, Mike Shay

It’s all over for Mike Shay and Scheana Marie Shay.

The famed couple, popular for their stellar roles on Vanderpump Rules proclaimed on Wednesday that they have finally decided to pull the plug on their two-year long marriage. After filing the official legal documents on Tuesday, the reality stars made a joint statement, in which they announced their decision of splitting up. They further added that they would continue to remain the best of friends and share the same sort of emotional attachment and mutual respect that they have cultivated throughout their 15-year friendship. They also said that they would be ever committed in supporting each others personal and professional success.

Anyone who uses their internet connection every week to tune into Bravo or watch Vanderpump Rules online is well aware of the fact that the twosome has seen a considerable amount of strain in their relationship lately. Mike Shay, for example, has been an avid substance abuser for many years, and earlier this month, he apparently went missing for quite some time. This ultimately got Scheana Marie all panicky and paranoid when she failed at tracking him down despite all efforts.

Scheana Marie Shay staged an intervention for her husband in an episode of her reality show in 2015. Following a year of soberness and eight more years of painkiller addiction, the latest buzz was that Mike had fallen off the wagon. But then all the speculation came to an end with Mike sharing a message on Instagram that said that he was sober, happy, and very much in love with his wife.

If sources are to be believed, despite Mike Shay’s seemingly positive mood at that time, the incident proved to be the last nail on the coffin, and ended up straining a relationship that was already close to dead-end. And just three weeks following the bizarre incident, the couple announced their split.

In response to the split, Scheana Marie expressed gratitude to her supporters on her Twitter handle last night while sharing her remorse over ending a marriage with someone she still loved and cared for very much. The couple had got married on 27th July, 2014, in a grand ceremony held in Santa Susana, California and the entire event was filmed and then aired on an episode of the third season of Vanderpump Rules. It’s shocking that things didn’t work out even after the much-hyped wedding.

In a recent interview, Scheana Marie hinted that the new season of the reality show will see a different side to their relationship. All that can be said now that it will be interesting to see how their relationship plays out on Bravo in the upcoming weeks, considering the fact that the episodes were filmed sometime back.

The only good thing that has come out of all this is that the split has sure given the producers some juicy material for the finale episode. As they say in the entertainment world, “the show must go on”.
