Serena Williams Politely Handles Reporter Who Disses Her Performance

After beating Lucie Safarova during the Australian Open, Serena Williams did not anticipate that her performance would be criticized.

But this is exactly what happened when a reporter tried to say that her performance was “scrappy” and filled with mistakes.

Serena replied by saying, “I think that’s a very negative thing to say. Are you serious?”

Serena then gave the reporter a chance to apologize to her, and he did the right thing and apologized. Serena continued the conversation by applauding her opponent’s performance. She said that both she and Safarova played a very good match.

So, that reporter’s remarks were shut down by Serena.

Although, Serena didn’t really like the reporter’s remarks and how he handled her victory, but she still has a lot to be happy about. Not only did she win the Australian Open, but she is recently engaged. Her engagement was announced to Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian. However, Serena wants to just concentrate on her tennis career for now.

When Serena was asked about her recent engagement, she says that she is happy and that everything feels good. Basically, she didn’t want to put much emphasis on the engagement until after she played the tournament. She’ll start paying more attention to other things in her life in February and beyond. This is when she’ll start looking at the bigger picture.

During a press conference, Serena talked slightly about her fiancé, Alexis Ohanian. Of course, she only had good things to say about him. She thinks that he is a very nice person. During the press conference, it was easy to see that she is very much in love. Serena loves that Alexis knows how to treat everyone all the same. This is one of the things that she really likes about him.
