Is The World Ready for the Male Romper?

That is the ultimate question.  And if you have nice legs and have been laying off the carbs, then the male romper, otherwise known as, the RompHim may be the clothing article for you.

The question was brought up by a Kickstarter project by ACED Design, and it was met with both intrigue and outrage.

The reason for the outrage is because the clothing is not “stereotypically” manly enough for today’s society.  The romper is designed solely for men and is apparently “pretty damn comfortable and it may just be the start of a fashion revolution,” states the Kickstarter account.

Despite all the derision, the RompHIm Kickstarter has raised over $150,000, much more than its $10,000 goal.

Because this item of clothing does not fit into the standard of menswear, the primary thing that has to be sold is the idea of masculinity, and the RompHim Instagram account is around to do just that.  The RompHim is presented worn by a group of guys just being, well, guys.  Everything from goofing around and drinking to making faces is covered, all to prove that wearing a romper is as normal for men as it is for women or babies.  And before you ask, yes there is a zipper for peeing, a very important fact to note because when you gotta go, you gotta go.

According to ACED Design, you’ve got to wear the romper “like you just don’t care.”  “You will turn heads and break hearts” in one of these things.  ACED adds “We promise that once you put it on, you won’t wanna take this thing off.”  Only one way to find out.
