If you’re interested in seeing Zac Efron really stretch his acting muscle, this is the bone-chilling film for you. The High School Musical star will be playing infamous serial killer Ted Bundy in the upcoming psychological thriller, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The movie is called Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. It will be told from the perspective of Bundy’s long-distance, longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer. She is the one responsible for turning Bundy into the authorities for suspicion of his involvement in the disappearances of countless women in the 1970’s. They were together for a long time despite her suspicions that he was responsible for multiple kidnappings and murders.
Bundy is most known for being the attractive, charming lawyer that committed at least 30 confessed homicides in seven different states until he was captured in 1978. The true number of his victims still remains unknown.
Bundy was so skilled, he even managed to escape from prison twice while he was awaiting trial in 1975. During his escape, he committed 3 murders and additional assaults. When he was finally captured, he was convicted guilty and received 3 death sentences in two separate trials. Ted Bundy was executed on Janusounds4,1989 by way of electric chair at Raiford Prison in Starke, Florida.
This sounds like an intense film and we’re excited to see Efron take on this role.
