Zendaya Coleman once again showed that her fashion style is anything but boring as she stepped out for the Footwear News Achievement Awards on November 29 in New York. The actress, singer, dancer and more recently fashion designer, lit up the red carpet and did not miss a beat from head to toe.
She wore a black, knee length Michael Kors dress with see through sleeves, handkerchief front skirt and a daring, plunging neckline that showed off her youthful skin in a classy manner. The entire look was complemented with chic makeup and hair.
Zendaya is known for trying new hair styles and she kept up that reputation at the FN awards. Her hair was done by Jennifer Yepezfor and featured glossy finger waves and a side part at the front then the rest was pulled back into a small knot at her nape.
Her makeup also did not fail to turn heads as she had on smoky eyeshadow that made her eyes more noticeable, expertly done bronzed cheekbones and light, glossy lips. Overall, her look was old Hollywood glamour with an edgy modern twist appropriate for her age. She kept her accessories to a minimum with just a ring, belt and earrings.
She obviously came well prepared to receive her acknowledgement as one of the honorees of the occasion. At just 20 years old, Zendaya is already showing proof that she is a combination of beauty, creativity and brains as she just launched her own shoe brand earlier this year. She won the Launch of the Year Award in recognition of her efforts on the fashion line named “Daya by Zendaya” and the award was presented by designer Michael Kors.
The collection features shoes ranging in price from $70 to $125.
The K.C. Undercover starlet is quickly making a name for herself in the fashion and acting industries. Born on September 1, 1996, she rose to stardom with her role as Rocky Blue in the hit Disney sitcom “Shake It Up”. She is billed to appear in “The Spider-man: Homecoming” in 2017.
She was interviewed on the red carpet and she spoke briefly on why she decided to start a shoe collection. Speaking with Footwear News, she attributed her fascination with shoes to her mum’s insecurity with heels. Her mum, Claire Stoemer, is 6-foot-4 and as a result is quite self-conscious in heels. Zendaya had to make do with trying on her grandma’s shoes instead and gradually became obsessed with them.
Well, we think it all worked out just fine as we get to enjoy more lovely shoe designs from this star that is showing no signs of slowing down any time soon.
